Digital Integration Hub given High Benefit Rating in 2023 Gartner® Hype Cycle™ for Application Architecture and Integration

According to the 2023 Gartner Hype Cycle report, Digital Integration Hub platforms (DIH) enable “scalable, 24/7 data access, reduces workloads on the systems of record (SORs) and improves business agility.” DIH solutions are based on real-time replication of data from multiple sources into a data management layer that synchronizes with the applications via event-driven patterns.

Gartner names several key impacts that DIH can have on an organization’s business flows, including delivering “always on” operations, providing app users with a richer and more responsive digital experience, and maintaining an up-to-date picture of the company’s data for analytics and real-time alerts and notifications.

Gartner has placed DIH technology in the “High Benefit” category. In his summary of the importance of this technology to support digital initiatives, Gartner analyst Andrew Humphreys stated that “Traditional integration architectures can face severe performance, scalability and availability issues stemming from excessive workload generated in the SORs from new digital requests. A DIH is an increasingly popular alternative architecture to overcome these issues and delivers additional benefits that improve business agility.”
